Out of Place?

Ever just feel out of place? Like all your friends are there but suddenly you’re the third wheel, suddenly you feel like the tag-along. This new world is sour to you, new to you. Change is good, but suddenly there’s arguments, there’s fights about whether or not she belongs, or he belongs, they’ve even questioned you, but that’s not what makes your feelings change, not one bit, it’s not even when they scream in your face. It’s when you realize you don’t have those easy laughs, those goofy smiles, that’s when you realize, that’s it, I don’t need these people, I am lost. You want to walk around, get up, stretch your legs, but you’re really just leaving, you need to get away. You get called dramatic, retort back an even better answer. You get called a bad friend, tell them to look in the mirror. It’s only so long that you can be nice, that you can sit back and watch, at some point you’re going to break it out a little, even if you scream. Your friends will bring you to the side ask you what’s up and make you laugh, or they’ll ignore you, walk away, and talk behind your back. Those are usually the ones who’ll try to give you a lecture. You may be quiet or you may tell them that you don’t need one and to just forget about it. All these things course through your head leaving behind little notes, but you already know, you know they might be gone, so you just walk away, not scared, but too tired, tired of having to be the one who gets screamed at, tired of it all.
