Fear 2.0

Fear is not real, fear is an illusion created for power. There is a way to overcome fear, it might seem impossible and crazy but the way to overcome fear is to become it. Let’s say you are afraid of driving, then you must drive in order to destroy this illusion of fear you have created. I was afraid to be alone, but when I am now it’s kind of peaceful. Before my sister was afraid to race someone in go-kart racing and drift, but now riding gives her this rush, this exhilaration, this proves that fear is fake. Fear was something to be afraid of except now you should be asking yourself what were you afraid of? For fear is nothing.

Fear

It appears out of nowhere,

creeps up on you on the best days.

Fear is inescapable, impenetrable.

Fear makes the strongest people cower into corners,

the most powerful people doubt themselves.

Fear is used as a weapon,

like a shooter who won’t shoot

will only show around a gun for your fear,

same way regular people do things to scare others as a joke

dangerous people endanger people’s lives in order to scare them for fun.

Fear is a game and you never know which type until it has begun.

You may think you are fearless,

but everyone is afraid of something,

from spiders and snakes

to death,

everyone is afraid.

Takeoff

You feel the rumbling of the engine,

the whirring of the machinery,

you are picking up speed,

your ears become clogged,

you feel pain but you also feel that rush of excitement

the feeling of going new places,

or in my case to the place you call home.

You fear many things,

but know that you are not alone,

many people realize the danger they put themselves in

when going in this terrific machine human life has created.

This machinery is a plane.

It takes you through the air,

across the world,

across the ocean,

where driving would take days,

even weeks sometimes.

These planes are magnificent achievements

to the human race as we know it,

but it is also a convenience like most things in our life.

This machine though,

is one we need in order to live, love, laugh, explore,

in order to find ourselves.

Maybe some machinery isn’t for humans want to have everything,

maybe it is simply for us to be us.
