Thanksgiving
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” By: John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Happy Thanksgiving! Sorry, it’s late, but I was busy with all the festivities that accompany Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time for family, for happiness, thankfulness, it’s a time where people’s eyes usually open up. I wonder though if it’s only because of Thanksgiving. Lots of people don’t care what happens to him or her, but they don’t realize that a child or person or baby with an infectious disease like cancer, they aren’t just thankful on Thanksgiving. They thank god that they are alive every day that they are because they don’t know if today is their last day, their last hour, last minute, last second. They don’t know, so they live their lives like is if there really is no tomorrow. We are usually wrapped up in ourselves and our own problems. It’s human nature, but what if that was changed? What if we did care all 365 days of the year? I don’t think it’s possible because you can’t care all the time, sometimes it’s okay to not care. I am my own person and I’m always grateful, but I can’t always care. Happy Thanksgiving!
